A new version of HR (2.1) is waiting to be installed
You know the moment. You've been running a software application for some time and every so often your computer installs more upgrades. Then one day, a different message appears. All the add-ons and improvements have been incorporated into a new, better version of the software. At HalsAllan we believe the time is right to do the same with HR consulting.
As experienced Chartered Fellows of the CIPD we're old enough to remember the upgrade from Personnel Management to Human Resources. Then the add-ons began. First equal opportunities which morphed into valuing diversity. Next family friendly practices - an add-on that eventually became work-life balance. Employee wellbeing and stress management followed. Now we have the latest updates - talent management and managing change.
We say enough of the add-ons, it's time for a new and improved version; an upgrade - HR 2.1. (well, if a few visionaries can come up with the concept of web 2.0 what's to stop us?) We're offering a service for the 21st Century where clients get advice and support that takes the key people issues - talent attraction and retention, surviving in a global 24/7 economy and learning to live with change - and puts them at the heart of the people management process.
It's our contention that until we fully integrate these issues into the HR services we provide, we can't expect line managers to integrate them into their management style; and we can't expect customer facing staff to integrate them into service delivery.
